NCLEX-RN Medications FAQ Congratulations on purchasing Kaplan’s NCLEX-RN® Medications Flashcards! These flashcards go beyond delivering medication and definition because unlike paper flashcards, they consist of 4 “sides” of information: medication (category, subcategory, generic name, trade name, pronunciation), use/treatment, side effects, and patient considerations.
Select “entire set” to learn more than 300 medications frequently tested on the NCLEX-RN. Or, scroll through the 21 categories and study medications in sets. To flip a card over, tap the arrow in the lower right corner. You will also see what’s coming up next (use/treatment, side effects, or patient considerations). After you’ve flipped through all the information about a medication, you are on to the next card.
The program defaults to Study Mode, which allows you to make your way through the information (medication, use/treatment, side effects, patient considerations) at your own pace. To get to the point of marking the answer correct or incorrect, you must tap through all four sides of the card by tapping the lower right corner where the cue / arrow is. You will see the next card appear on your screen, and a green or red square representing your knowledge on the card. In Study mode your score is not saved.
After you complete your first pass through a category, missed cards (marked with red X) will be reshuffled with a few you scored correctly so you can focus on the missed medications.
Select Quiz ME! to make learning medications more interactive. This mode saves your score. You can view your score at any time on the My Study Sets library page.
